Wetlands journal publishes paper on carbon sequestration in the Lower Mississippi Valley

June 2009

The journal Wetlands published its second issue of 2009 featuring the article “Carbon Storage of Bottomland Hardwood Afforestation in the Lower Mississippi Valley, USA”.  This article was written by David Shoch, TerraCarbon’s Vice President of Forestry and Technical Services, Gary Kastor, Aaron Hohl, and Ray Souter.  The data collected for the paper is the most extensive for the LMV region to date, and demonstrates that bottomland hardwoods sequester more carbon than the corresponding estimates used in the DOE Voluntary Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program.
