VCS approves AD Partners REDD methodology

The VCS has approved the REDD Methodology Modules submitted by Avoided Deforestation Partners. The methodology consists of several modules covering activities to reduce emissions from planned deforestation, unplanned deforestation, and degradation caused by the extraction of fuel wood. It is the third REDD methodology approved by the VCS and can now be used to register projects under the VCS Program.
TerraCarbon was a part of an expert group convened by Climate Focus on behalf of Avoided Deforestation Partners to develop the methodology and modules. The methodology and modules can be accessed on the VCS website by clicking here.
